Description:

The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a short term (approx 12 month) contractor to work on the NCDOT IT Service Desk.

The selected candidate will be expected to:

. Assist with providing tier one computer hardware and software support to all NCDOT statewide computer users . Facilitate the resolution of incidents and problems, call tracking, and routing to several level two business application help desks within DOT . HEAT by FrontRange Solutions used to manage and track customer support problems on all computer hardware, software, and business process issues . Facilitate various efforts between state ITS and other state agencies.

 

REQUIRED:

. Knowledge and experience using HEAT call tracking software . Knowledge of Basic Crystal Reporting . Knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Outlook 2003 & 2010 . Knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Windows XP and Windows

. Knowledge and experience supporting Office 2003 suites and 2010 suites . Ability to manage tasks and meet schedules . Ability to write technical documentation that is easily understood by clients . Must have good organizational and communication skills, written and oral . Must have excellent customer service and teamwork skills

 

PREFERRED:

. Previous experience with Department of Transportation or Government environment . Knowledge of SAP
