Scope of the project:
The Client Team is implementing SAP for state government business processes
related to finance, budgeting, grants management, materials management,
human resources and payroll. Working under the direction of the Client staff
in the Division of State Information Technology (DSIT), candidates will
provide technical and professional services related to the configuration of
the SAP ECC 6.0 for new statewide business processes, Unit and Integration
Testing, Business Process Procedure development, and the identification of
effective knowledge transfer to support the Client Project. The Functional
Consultant will have general knowledge of SAP FI and in-depth configuration
knowledge/ experience with SAP Asset (AM) processes for state/local public
sector organizations. The AM functional consultant will configure SAP
Assets integrating with the Finance, Funds Management, Grants Management,
Materials Managements, and the Supplier Relationship Management modules
including unit testing, business process procedure development, and
integration testing.Responsibilities:
· Assist in analyzing business processes and developing work
flows
· Configure SAP Asset module, including thorough understanding
of asset procurement, additions, transfers, retirements, depreciation and
reporting.
· Complete Unit Testing of the Asset module
· Develop Business Process Procedures (BPP’s)
· Conduct and demonstrate leadership during the Integration
Testing of the Asset module with the Finance, Funds Management, Grants
Management, Materials Managements, and the Supplier Relationship Management
modules
· Assist in the design and implementation of Month End and
Year End closing transactions and processes
· Resolve SAP defects via SAP OSS (Online Support System) and
system errors via a working knowledge of the integration with other SAP
modules
· Escalate issues to Project Management in a timely manner
· Aid in the development of the training curriculum and
coursesRequired Skills (in order of Importance):
* strong working knowledge of assets for public sector
* strong working knowledge of sap finance module for public
sector
* excellent oral and written communications skills
* ability to manage work, delegate and provide guidance to other
Client employees
* Ability to make presentation and prepare reports
* knowledge in materials management skill a plus
* knowledge of sap technical skills a plusPreferred Skills (in order of Importance):
