Windows Administrator with IIS, Active Directory (MSAD), MommVault Backup, Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, Virtualization, PowerShell scripting and disaster recovery experience

Duration: 12 months

 

The Department of Transportation is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. This position is responsible for engineering enterprise systems such as Windows IIS, Active Directory, CommVault Backup, Citrix XenDesktop & XenApp, Virtualization, & other core infrastructure systems. This position will be responsible for building complex computing systems to include research, requirements gathering, design, documenting, configuration, and maintenance of all respective computing systems. Must take into account all the features of a given technology; backup/disaster recovery aspects, design, configuration, operational, and support documentation, operational and support staff training on use & maintenance of any new services. Position is responsible for third level support of the service, manage time lines and resources for projects, identify trends and develop appropriate technical solutions to mitigate problems.    

 

Required:

• Experience with Microsoft IIS 7+, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp & Desktop

• EXTENSIVE experience in Windows IIS, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp & Dekstop implementation, & management in an enterprise environment - Required

• Strong experience in Windows PowerShell scripting - Preferred

• Must possess strong Computer Systems Integration skills - Required

• Disaster recovery experience with the above technologies - Required

• Skills to produce design and operational documentation - Required 

• Good communication skills - Required
