Java Developer with web services, JSF, EJB, XML/JAXB, MyEclipse/Eclipse, Unix scripting, ANT, SQL, DB2/Oracle/SQL Server, WebSphere and Tax experience

Location:  Raleigh, NC 

Duration: 12 months

 

The Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking to fill a 12 month contractor assignment. The selected Candidate will provide Java Developer computer programming support.

Java Developer primary responsibilities:

• Code and systems test application program or modules.

• Participant in integration test and user acceptance testing.

• Participant in peer code reviews.

• Provide application maintenance and enhancement support for legacy system.

• Trouble shoot and resolve code defects. 

 

Primary Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of Java development; including web services, JSF, and EJB.

• Minimum 2 years xml development

• Minimum 2 years experience using MyEclipse or Eclipse

• Good communication skills. Need to be able to interface with vendors, IT and business users.

Secondary Skills:

• Windows and Unix scripting

• Experience using ANT

• Basic Experince in SQL/database querying

• Experience using DB2 Development and General Administration Tools DB2, Oracle, SQL Server

• Experience using Excel

• Experience using JAXB.

• Experience interpreting/reading tax form schema.

• Experience with using and deploying to IBM WebSphere Application Server
