Apple Engineer (MCP/MCSE) with system administration, networking, MAC, iOS, Novell, ZENWorks, Cisco IOS, and LINUX experience

Location: North Charleston, SC
Duration: 6 Months  

The Apple Engineer I provides MAC and iOS device and application support and network support and monitoring.

Primary Functions: 
Provides excellent customer service including on-call support to end-users.
Performs system deployments including hardware and software configuration primarily on Apple computers and tablets.
Provides written updates on status of current tickets, open issues and projects.
Performs troubleshooting of supported desktop operating systems and applications.
Documents system problems and resolution for future reference.
Performs image builds for use on all Apple systems.
Performs custom software distribution to all Apple systems.
Manages backup of Apple workstations and laptops.
Maintains technical documentation related to the configuration of components (i.e. hardware, operating system, applications, management tools, etc) including installation and troubleshooting instructions for each.

Secondary Functions: 
Performs other duties assigned by the Senior Network Engineer or other CCSD administrative staff.

Education:
Associates Degree in Networking Technology or related field, OR
An additional year of related experience in network technology may be substituted for up to 30 hours of college coursework in networking technology (NOTE: Transcript must be received with application if you are meeting this requirement.)

Experience & Training:
2 years experience in Apple support with emphasis on Intel-based Apple hardware and software including, MACs, iOS devices.

Specific Skills:
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols

Licensing/Certification: Valid Driver’s License Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Certification in Microsoft products such as MCP or MCSE 

Other:
Expertise working with Apple, Novell and Windows operating systems and deploying applications using ZENWorks.
Technical knowledge of network, PC, MAC,iOS, and platform operating systems, including Novell Netware, Windows, Cisco IOS, and LINUX
Hands-on experience with servers, storage area networks, switches, and routers.
Ability to interpret service manuals and to use electronic diagnostic equipment such as cable testers and protocol analyzers.
Attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; oral communication skills and experience workin in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
