QA Tester with Quality Center, Performance Center/Loadrunner, Quick Test Pro, VuGen/QTP scripts, VB Script, C, C++ experience and CSQA/CSTE/ASQA/ASTE/MSQA/MSTE certification

The Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor position. The selected candidate will work as a member of the ITS SQA Testing Services team in OITS and will assist in providing SQA Testing Services for current & upcoming projects.
Main Duties/Responsibilities Include:
1. Participate as needed in all aspects of the day-to-day operations and support of the SQA services.
2. Develop detailed test plans, Test cases and scripts, and status reports for tactical work activities as needed or requested by management.
3. Day-to-day coordination and support for testing activities being performed by the customers of the SQA service.
4. Schedule and perform testing services for SQA clients as needed including but not limited to test script development, functional testing services, performance testing services, and results reporting.
5. Provide as needed SME based consulting services and support to clients for SQA best practices, methods, test plan development/execution, and SQA tools usage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development with a demonstrated concentration of experience in software quality assurance (SQA) methods, techniques, and tools.
Other relevant experience requirements would include:
• Hands-on experience with the HP portfolio of SQA tools including Quality Center, Performance Center/Loadrunner, and Quick Test Pro.
• Ability to develop and enhance VuGen and QTP scripts; Coding experience in VBsript, C, C++.
• Logical and systematic approaches to test plan development and execution for both functional and performance testing needs for IT business applications.
• Functional and performance testing experience for a wide range of technical platforms and applications.
• Customer focused with excellent oral and written communication skills; strong team and customer oriented interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to function as a consultant to customers on SQA matters.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute work tasks with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Certification as a software quality assurance professional as recognized by the Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) is desired. These certification(s) could/would include CSQA, CSTE, ASQA, ASTE, MSQA, or MSTE.
Education: Graduation from a four-year college or university with nine semester hours in programming and five years of experience in business applications consulting, development, or SQA. Note: Experience in the field of work related to the positions role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
