The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term (approx. 10 months) contractor to serve as the Deployment Manager of OMMISS Replacement MMIS DDI project. 

This individual will provide management and oversight support for the state in the areas of:

• Transitioning DHHS from the legacy Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to the Replacement MMIS

• Identifying key activities that are needed from: DHHS, OMMISS, state users, providers and other stakeholders

• Stakeholder communications

 

Required Skills:

1. Must be highly organized

2. Ability to lead complex projects with specific expertise in MMIS and an emphasis in Transitioning to Operations

3. Ability to work with stakeholders (providers, government agencies, media, vendors, subject matter experts, users).

4. Ability to consult with executive decision-makers on an on-going basis, to develop long-range and short-range strategic alternatives.

5. Experience in planning deployment activities for extremely complex systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Four year college degree

• Experienced more than one deployment of a MMIS in a leadership role
