THIS PROJECT IS WORKING ON SCTR PROJECTS, SPECIFICALLY SPARC (SERVICES, PRICES, & APPLICATIONS FOR RESEARCH CENTER) WHOSE AMANDATE IS THE FOLLOWING:

SPARC is being established to unify campus service requests and enhance potential research opportunities. Accessible to internal and external investigators, SPARC provides a browse-able and searchable catalog of services that can be selected for purchase, usually for the purpose of constructing or executing a clinical study or trial.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 
WRITING AND TESTING SOFTWARE BASED ON USER STORIES PLANNED OUT FOR A 1-WEEK SPRINT AT A TIME AND THE RESULTS PRESENTED AT THE END OF THE SPRINT AND PROVIDING LEADERSHIP AND GUIDANCE FOR A TEAM OF RUBY DEVELOPERS.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
SENIOR PROGRAMMING SKILLS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS 
- Ruby on Rails, jRuby 
- JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS
- Architect enterprise applications
- Requirements gathering
- RESTful web services
- MySQL and SQL

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
ACTIVE AND CONTRIBUTING TO OPEN SOURCE PROJECTS.
- Agile experience
- Leadership experience
- Coffeescript, Backbone
- XML and web services
- Healthcare data and HL7 
- CouchDB and other “NoSQL” databases
- Semantic web technologies

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE TO DEMONSTRATE CAPABILITY IN REQUIRED AREAS
