The client s seeking a short-term (approx. 6 month) Senior Database Administrator to assist with building and maintaining the NC Medicaid Incentive Payment System (NC-MIPS) development project. The selected candidate must be a results-oriented candidate with a strong work ethic possessing excellent database development, communication, and problem-solving skills. This candidate will assume a database lead role for the development and implementation of the Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment System solution. In addition, the candidate will leverage their experience to ensure a successful solution delivery through data modeling, script development, database administration, report development, and ad-hoc queries.
Expectations/Responsibilities will include:
• Encryption/Decryption in SQL Server
• Securing SQL Server
• Performance tuning complex queries
• Transparent Data Encryption
• Log shipping
• Working closely with other developers, project management, and key stakeholders.
• Participating as key team member in a .NET software development effort.
• Assisting with the establishment of, and adherence to, development standards based on industry accepted methodologies and standards
• Leverage experience to envision solutions to problems and to execute the solutions
• Working on a small development team, (the candidate will be expected to be an expert in database technologies)
Required:
• Minimum 8 yrs of successful challenging SQL Server database development experience including work on new, large-scale, complex solutions in an environment with rapidly changing requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional SQL (Transact-SQL) skills
• Strong Experience with SQL Server 2008 database, Integration Services, and Reporting Services in software development and production environments.
• Awareness of database design patterns and working experience of object-relational mapping.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks to best meet overall goals
• Familiar with different Backup procedures
• Experience with Data recovery methods
• Hands on experience with data migration
• Develop create and manage SSRS reports
• Experience in DB Deployment procedures
• Experience in writing stored procedures
• Extensive knowledge with SSIS packages and SSRS reports
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• Familiarity with SQL Server database administration
• Experience with Visual Studio for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0 development
• Experience with Sybase and SAS
