The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Java programmer to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor assignment for the Online Verification (OLV) Project Technical Team. The selected candidate will provide systems analysis and programming for the Online Verification (OLV) System which is a web-based application written in JAVA and .NET, and interfaces with mainframe.
Required:
• Minimum of six (6) years of developing web applications and user interfaces with Java technologies such as J2EE, Enterprise Java Beans, Hibernate, JDBC, Java Server Pages (JSP), Java Servlets, Java Server Faces, JSON, Spring, Eclipse, IBM WebSphere Application Server
• Minimum of three (3) years of in-depth knowledge and experience with Web Services standards: SOAP, UDDI, WSDL, Restful Web Services; Designing and developing Web Services; IBM ESB or MQ Series; Web servers IBM HTTP Server for z/OS, IBM HTTP Server for AIX/Linux/Microsoft Windows/Solaris
Knowledgeable with:
• Java Persistence API (JPA), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP), Java Transaction API (JTA), Java Management Extensions (JMX), transaction management, Tomcat, Apache and JBoss Application Server, Database platforms and tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, CVS and SVN
• Knowledge and experience in object-oriented analysis and design in standard web based languages/technologies such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML and J-Query
Preferred:
• Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft .net programming (c#)
