The intent of this work order is to supplement the client Support and Maintenance functions focusing on infrastructure and internet technology support. Some of these are SCITS, SharePoint and CMS. 
Under general supervision, the contractor will serve as support specialist reporting directly to the Network Infrastructure area of South Carolina client. One main focus of this position is to supplement the current Service Level Agreement in accordance with the needs of the Agency’s application projects, migrations and related environment. These applications involve Internet technologies in Microsoft .Net Framework and related web enabled components. Support contractor must demonstrate an expert knowledge of SharePoint / MOSS, VMware, Windows 2003/2008 and IIS 6.0 / 7.0. General duties include managing Windows 2003 and 2008 Servers, VMware ESX, Active Directory, SharePoint, .net migrations. Must effectively research and provide guidance leading to solutions with our strategic direction initiatives, monitoring network infrastructure and security, assisting in supporting disaster recover/failover scenarios. Engineer must be a team player that ensures the stability and integrity of network, data and server services through monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all server and infrastructure systems. This individual has 24/7 on-call responsibilities shared with the group. The following areas of client also need assistance in support, but these are not a requirement to apply for this position. Experience in these areas would be a plus: MS Content management system, Provisioning server, SharePoint 07/10, Exchange 03/07/10, EMC SANs, and Group Policies.

Non-Technical
1.The contractor has to Effectively interact and communicate with peers to Director-level IT professionals. 
2.The contractor has to Provide feedback to team regarding product issues, enhancements and new features. 
3.The contractor Must have initiative, drive and be a self-starter.
4.The contractor must have Ability to ask pertinent questions of others. 
5.The contractor has to Proactively seek to identify, communicate and implement process related improvements. 
6.The contractor has to Effectively manage multiple tasks and activities concurrently and able to provide periodic status updates to key stakeholders 
7.The contractor has to Collaborate extensively with peers and management to resolve client issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledge network that improves the effectiveness of our team and the information available to our clients. 
8.The contractor has to Prioritize numerous issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels. This includes ownership of  the data entered into the Helpdesk system and appropriately updating both client and appropriate employees of status of all issues on a timely basis. 
9.The contractor must have Good customer skills, be attentive to detail, and responsive to customer tickets.

Technical
1.The contractor has to Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions for customer issues related to software setup and configuration. 
2.The contractor has to Develop workaround solutions as appropriate. 
3.The contractor has to Monitor and assess current systems and recommend hardware and software enhancements 
4.The contractor has to Act as technical resource for other IT analysts and business units by resolving complex computer equipment and systems problems 
5.The contractor has to Diagnose and resolve problems related to hardware, software, or operator error, and resolve or repair 
6.The contractor has to Escalate complex problems to other groups, Help Desk, or venclients for resolution or for support under maintenance agreements; oversee venclient work
