Project Manager (PMP) with SDLC, MS Project, PMBOK, PMM, SEM, and driver/vehicle IT System development/government experience

The resource selected for this contract will manage the MDOS Commercial Drivers License Information System (CDLIS) Modernization project for DTMB. The purpose of this project is to ensure Michigan’s ability to communicate properly with the CDLIS upgrades and with other States by implementing functions established with CDLIS Release 5.0. This project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project adheres to State of Michigan standard methodologies including the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE), Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM), and Project Management Methodology (PMM).
Required Criteria
Five years documented experience leading and managing technical IT projects/programs.
Five years’ experience developing IT project documentation including project charters, plans, risk plans, communication plans, and resource plans.
Five years’ experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using MS Project.
Five years’ experience using industry standard methodologies:
- SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
- PMM (Project Management Methodology)
- SEM (Systems Engineering Methodology)
Five years’ experience executing, monitoring, and controlling IT development projects.
Preferred Criteria
Five years’ experience supporting a project/program control/management office preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with state/federal driver & vehicle related IT systems preferred (ideally Michigan)
Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) preferred.
PMP certification preferred.
