Network Engineer with LAN/WAN, Cisco Works, HP OpenView, SolarWinds, Orion, Syslog, packet capture, MS Office/Visio, Windows Server sizing, Zenoss, Nagios, Opsview, NTOP and government experience Location: Raleigh NC Duration : 12months Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: | ||||
| Required: * Minimum five (5) years of experience with the following: * Hands-on experience with LAN and WAN network traffic monitoring, capture and analysis. * Hands-on experience with LAN and WAN bandwidth analysis tools such as Cisco Works, HP OpenView, SolarWinds, Orion, syslog, packet capture tools. * Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Visio – Intermediate Level experience. * Advanced understanding of WAN bandwidth sizing for application implementation. * Windows 2008 Server sizing experience in a multi-tiered applications platform. * Excellent organization and verbal and written communication skills. * Strong attention to detail regarding collection and review of technical and non-technical information. * Must be able to work in a hands-on capacity, with limited technical supervision. * Must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, provide detailed written status reports, documentation, work on multiple aspects of a project and track status and progress on each. * Must be able to work either leading a team or as part of a team. * Must be able to interact with various inter and intra-department groups on both a technical and personal level.Preferred: * Hands-on experience with Zenoss, Nagios, Opsview and NTOP open source network monitoring tools. | ||||
