QA Tester with SDLC, MS office, Accounting, SharePoint, SQL, MS Visio, and financial/tax/government Experience

Location: Columbia, SC 
Duration: 12 months
Positions: 1

Responsibilities and Duties
1.Works with Project Management, Business Analyst and Developer at all stages of SCITS development to promote quality within SCITS.
2.Works with Project Managers and Lead Business Analyst to coordinate and develop the testing strategy and plan.  Included in this would be estimating the time, effort and resources needed to complete the test in the approved time frame.
3.Defines and develops the Test Plan, to include defining the testing level and cycles needed to assure adequate testing.
4.Executes Test Plans, including all aspects of testing.  Including preparing data, implementing and executing test (automating test where appropriate), monitoring test results and checking exit criteria. 
5.Assigns and prioritizes work for other Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst and ensures that the work is completed on time and according to established Test Plans.
6.Monitors progress on Test Plans.  Including adjusting the Test Plan based on test results and progress. 
7.Producing various reports needed to monitor and control the testing. 
8.Must be able to work with Business Analyst and/or Business Users to reproduce and document bug reports.  Must be able to clearly document the steps needed to reproduce.
9.Keeps project leader(s), team members, supervisor, and stakeholders informed of work progress. Coordinate with the SCITS Developers to correct all defects identified.
10.Resolves application system incidents reported by users as needed.
11.Serves as business user liaison with technical staff as needed. 
12.Assists in training new employees and serves as business systems consultant for them. Work with IRM users to conduct User Acceptance Testing. 
13.Mentor and assist business users assigned to projects in learning the technology and utilizing it for review and testing. Assists the user in training on effective operation of application systems. 
14.Report on weekly basis to SCITS Manager regarding work accomplished and upcoming plans.  

SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Strong oral and written communication skills.
•Strong analytical skills, especially in dealing with situations involving multiple interacting systems or complex operational processes.
•Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
•Ability to produce work on schedule and meet specifications with minimal supervision.
•Ability to deal effectively with the needs of customers, team members, vendors and management at all levels of the organization.
•Flexibility to work extra hours or outside normal work hours if necessary.
•Demonstrated expertise in the areas of tax operations research, utilization of information management science techniques and/or methodologies, or analysis of information management theories, practices and procedures.
•Ability to work independently under pressure.
•Expertise in structured testing methodology, including conducting Systems Test and User Acceptance Test.
•Expertise with financial transaction systems and data, such as tax processing or banking.
•Expertise in IT life cycle development, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
•Expertise in serving as a technical resource for business users, including one-on-one and group supplemental training, problem resolution, and coordination with technical support organizations.
•Ability to report to project management in clear and concise form, including all relevant information in a timely manner.
