MS SQL Server DBA/Data Warehouse Developer with ETL, SQL Reporting Services, MS Analysis Services, SharePoint, FERPA, DB2 and public education experience

A Database Administrator will be provided to assist the client programming staff with the development of operational data stores (ODS) that will be used to feed data. 
The DBA selected will be expected to manage the ETL and databases used with client’s PowerSchool data collections. Our SLICE data warehouse relies on SQL scripts for 
data loads and data validation. Development of data stores will include designing data models for each data store as well as coding the SQL scripts that will be used to build each data store. Knowledge of SharePoint 2010 will be beneficial. client relies on SQL Reporting Services for much of the data presentation. An experienced DBA is needed to support this development and database management work. Much of the data for SLICE comes from PowerSchool. Management of the data collection ETL and 
databases will be of high priority.
1.Manage ETL scripts and databases used with PowerSchool data collections.
2.Provide support for PowerSchool Data Collection procedures by running and maintaining all ETL scripts and validation scripts.
3.Design, implement and test data model(s) for the data warehouse.
4.Develop ETL procedures and scripts for SLICE data sources. 
5.Research and recommend ETL tools and procedures to be used to support SLICE project.
6.Maintain the data design documents for all SQL databases. 
7.Coordinate with Developers to ensure SLICE data models are in sync with data models elsewhere in the agency. 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 
6+ years of relational database and SQL Server experience as well equal number of years experience with development tools MS Analysis Services, MS Excel and SQL Query Manager. Five years of SQL Server 2005/2008 experience is a must. Must have current experience using SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services. Knowledge of and experience with DB2 will be important.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of public education and client's mission, programs and objectives as well as FERPA compliance is helpful.
