Description:
NC DHHS Office of MMIS Services is seeking senior IT resources with diverse technology skills and extensive experience in System Architecture, business continuity and 
disaster recovery on full lifecycle development projects where multiple concurrent projects leverage a full complement of technology based solution in support of complex business models.

This resource, under the supervision of the IT Applications Manager, will work on ensuring high quality outcomes for vendor deliverables in the areas of Enterprise Architecture domains for Application, Data, Enterprise Management, Groupware, Network, Platform, Security and Systems Integration. The principal responsibilities will be to monitor and review a large volume of technical and/ or business deliverables across the SDLC to ensure adherence to requirements and to provide high quality guidance for corrective actions where necessary with ability to create, analyze and objectively review the architecture of complex multi-tier browser-based systems.
 
Required Skills:
*Minimun 7 years IT experience in providing/implementing technical and System Architecture solutions to challenging requirements across all facets of the SDLC for large and complex custom applications. 
*Experience providing guidance to other senior resources in a technical architecture role.
*Experience with software change management on multiple technology platforms.
*Outstanding knowledge of the experience with all SDLC processes and artifacts and adapting those to specific projects.
*Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with proven strengths in handling difficult IT problems.
*Experience in working with business and technical personnel across departments and organizations.
*Effective written and oral communications skills.

Preferred Skills:
*IT and / or business knowledge in the healthcare domain, especially with health insurance or Medicaid systems. 
*Hands-on experience with as many as possible with the following technologies: Mainframe applications programming, CICS,COBOL, DB2, Oracle, Pega, SOA, EDI FileNet, 
SAS, OLTP, OLAP, Rules Engine, EDMS.
*Bachelor''''s degree in InformationTechnology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
