Knowledge and Skills:

•

Expertise utilizing Microsoft ETL/data integration tools (SSIS and T-SQL scripts) a must.

•

Business Objects (Report and Universe development). 

•

Experience in BI data model and dimensional model best practices. 

•

Knowledgeable/ experienced with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS. SSAS, SSIS). Knowledge of SharePoint a plus. 

•

Extensive knowledgeable/ experienced in all aspects of Business Objects a must. 

•

Skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

•

Traditional or Agile (Scrum) SDLC knowledge.

•

Experience with one or more BI dashboard tools. 

•

Experience in deploying BI over the Internet 

Responsibilities: 

- Responsible to work with business users to develop requirements for reports; 

- Analyze user needs, as required, and leads in the design of specifications to meet those needs; 

- Responsibility for developing SQL Server Reporting Services reports and components; 

- Tests and debugs software; assists in testing projects for other developer\analysts; 

- Accountable for the successful delivery of reports within time estimates; 

- Develops and document design; 

- Identifies risks and communicates risks to the project manager and project team; 

- Minimizes rework by utilization of best software engineering practice; 

- Supports and adheres to change management process 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience: 

- More than 7 years of software development experience with an emphasis on gathering and documenting user requirements and developing business solutions; 

- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills, required; 

- More than 5 years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including stored procedure; 

- At least 2 years developing with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); 

- Good sense of layout and graphic presentation of data; 

- Strong analytical/problem solving skills required; 

- Experience implementing dashboards and working with SharePoint is a plus; 

- Systematic and disciplined approach to developing solutions required

You will also be responsible for other adjunct components to these DW/BI applications that require experience with Java Script and .NET application development. You will spend a small portion of your time developing in Java Script and C#, developing XML/XSD/WSDL files, writing web service clients and deploying Business Objects Data Services.

BS or BA Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

•

Five to ten years of experience with all phases of the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence development lifecycle, including gathering requirements, development,testing, implementation, and support
