REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. Five years J2EE with Struts framework (version 1.1) development
experience.
2. Five years experience of JAVA (version 1.5 or above).
3. Three years knowledge of distributed revision control system (GIT).
4. Five years knowledge of the Websphere (version 6.1 or above)
application servers and environment.
5. Five years knowledge of JDBC connectivity from Application server
to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Server, and DB2 databases.
6. Five years experience in configuration management, including
continuous build/integration, testing lifecycle and application deployment, versioning and automated rollback.
7. Five years knowledge of SSL.
8. Five years experience in J2EE application deployment.
9. Three years experience in securing web applications using standard
security practices.
10. Proven ability to deliver high-quality results.
11. Experience in the development of project documentation (functional
specifications, technical specifications, test plans, etc.)
12. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
(with all levels of the organization) and a very good command of the English language.
13. Ability to work with diverse groups and work within the team
environment.
14. Ability to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately,
clearly and concisely.
15. Ability to transfer knowledge to developers and functional teams.
16. Proven organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build
and maintain partnerships within different business units.

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. Three years knowledge of Redhat LDAP.
2. Two years knowledge of the VBScript and Ruby programming languages.
3. One year knowledge of the JBOSS (version 5) application
environment.
4. Two years knowledge of the Rails and .NET environment.
5. Ability to communicate and gather requirements from customers.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
Incumbent will provide analysis, design, programming, consultation, system configuration and documentation for the implementation and modification of management information systems in the UNIX/Windows XP environment with client-server technology for the Division of Insurance and Grants Services Information Technology. Utilization of Internet Technologies, database management systems, multiple programming languages, standard markup languages, and graphical user interface (GUI) tools will be applied to applications development.
Work with applications development staff in maintaining production web based systems, organizing internal team training. Will participating in code review sessions to insure quality and consistency of the Java code base. Required to direct and oversee the design and development, testing and implementation of critical client based information system using Java/J2EE architecture and other web based tools such as Struts and EClipse. Must be able to communicate and coordinate objective between JAVA and Host application developers. Will insure programs meet customer specifications through adequate unit testing; analyzing program performance and open communication
