Database management system and administration of which at least five

(5) years experience with human services programs     10 Years

Technical proficiency in the Natural 4th Generation Language

Application software    Documented experience required; no minimum

Administrative technical proficiency in Software AG’s Application

Generator Natural Business Services/Natural Construct Documented

experience required; no minimum length of time is specified Experience in implementing new Software AG Software, i.e., upgrade

Software AG products    Documented experience required; no minimum length

of time is specified

Experience in ADABAS and experience in implementing and upgrading

Software AG’s software  10 Years

Experience in statistical analysis tools to monitor, analyze, evaluate, assess and make adjustments in system resources to optimize

performance as well as allocate system resources      Documented experience

Experience in IBM z/OS, OS390/MVS and database utilities    2 Years

Experience in IBM Mainframe   10 Years

Experience in CICS      10 Years

Experience in JCL       5 Years

Experience in PREDICT   5 Years

Monitor large-scale database and transactions processing systems; Implement database file changes, monitor and implement performance enhancements and recovery changes; Design and create database systems and related processes; Monitor resource utilization and provide technical guidance to users.

Assist technical personnel with accessing the MDHS ADABAS databases; Maintain and customize models used in the JAWS system, and assist in the implementation of new Construct versions; Assist in developing disaster recovery contingency plans and annual testing; Provide backup support for RACF and Natural security administration; Prepare monthly utilization reports for cost allocation; Provide lead database administration and management services to all computerized applications operating in the agency; Provide optimization and fine tuning services to ensure peak performance of the databases; Design/update, document, and implement recovery procedures for databases; Design, create/update processes and procedures to ensure that backup, recovery and disaster procedures are in place to support the Agency’s business resumption procedures and operating policies; and Provide overall technical support, consultation services to other MIS team members on new initiatives or enhancement projects and provide on- call DBA support as needed.

Upgrade software products to the latest release.
