Expertise in administration of DB2 databases    5 Years

Expertise in Relational database design and maintenance     5 Years

Expertise in the use of z/OS,

OS390/MVS and DB2 database utilities      2 Years

Java  2 Years

.Net  2 Years

Knowledge of Federal Assistance programs under the direction of Health

and Human Services      Documented experience required; no minimum length

of time is specified

Experience in creating and maintaining database systems     Documented

experience required; no minimum length of time is specified Experience in establishing and maintaining recoverability, performance

and capacity planning facets of the database systems  Documented

experience required; no minimum length of time is specified Proficient in performing DB2 database and system administration on an

IBM z900 Mainframe  z/OS operating system Documented experience

required; no minimum length of time is specified

 

Design implementation monitor and troubleshoot DB2 databases and DB2 database system applications; Train developers in the protocols involved in accessing and updating in DB2; Provide project leadership for various initiatives in the DB2 services area; Perform logical and physical database designs, implements and supports new and existing tables.

Monitor DB2 space usage and database performance; Performs database reorganizations as necessary; Maintains current disaster recovery plan for mainframe operating systems infrastructure including DB2, system utilities; Establish and maintain recoverability, performance and capacity planning facets of the database systems; Evaluate client specifications, design all databases necessary to complete client requests and provide technical guidance to other members of a project team; and Create DB2 performance statistics for the agency.
