IN001166 - Java Web Developer with Oracle, Linux, Mainframe, Kofax Ascent Capture software experience

Location: Raleigh NC

The Department of Commerce is seeking to recruit a contractor for a period of no less than 6 months. The selected candidate will work with NCIC and must be able to successfully complete the following tasks:

. Replace (fix) the existing batch document submission process by designing, developing and implementing a secure Web (Java) solution for the electronic document submission process. This effort will include the design and implementation of indexing of the documents submitted to meet the search criteria as defined by the NCIC business stakeholders.

. Work with staff developers and other resources to integrate NCID authentication in developed solution.

. Refactor existing mainframe data extraction scripts to insert resulting data into Oracle database instead of existing databases and document bases.

. Work with agency staff to develop test plans and ensure successful testing and validation of all developed solutions.

 

This initiative will lead to a subsequent effort defined by the NCIC as the Electronic Document and Fee Portal (EDFP) initiative. The candidate selected for this effort must provide excellent technical documentation that will be referenced for support and subsequent enhancements as defined by the EDFP initiative.

 

Required

. Minimum of three (3) years experience as a WEB application developer using Java (6 or higher), and Oracle (11G or higher), in a Linux, and Windows XP environments.

. Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation of the delivered solution . Independent; self-starter . Proven experience working successfully in a team environment.

 

Preferred:

. Experience working with the Kofax Ascent Capture software and Kodak production scanners.

 

Important Note:

The candidate must reside locally, within the State.
