IN001156 - Trainer with web based training/CBT/e-learning for health care professionals experience

DHHS Division of Public Health - NC Immunization Branch is seeking a short-term contractor (approx. 6 month) to provide a combination of in- house and webinar training pertaining to the use the NC Immunization Registry (NCIR) system. The Immunization Branch is in need of (5) trainers to provide specific statewide NCIR system on-site, and off- site instructor-led training to offices that are requesting assistance or that the immunization branch identifies as needing additional training. Training will consist of short, focused training sessions to address the specific areas of remedial training identified, staff turnover at a provider that has already been trained, perform follow ups or to train new NCIR providers. All positions would be regionally based and travel will be required. These positions will work as an integral part of the NCIR Training Team. Our objective is to adequately train any potential or existing user accessing the NCIR system. A competency test will be completed by each NCIR user trained and a passing score must be achived to show that the user has been trained effectively. Job functions may include, but will not be limited to:

1. Develop a thorough understanding of the NCIR functionality 2. Ability to work effectively with people on all educational levels and to maintain effective working relationships with health care professionals in medical provider offices 3. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and/or written form with health professionals and the general public with the ability to stimulate interest and cooperation amoung various groups.

4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental personnel and medical organizations

 

Required:

* Minimum of 2 years experience

* Experience in job and task analysis of computer web based training experience

* General knowledge of methods and techniques used in preparing and disseminating educational information to health care professionals.

* General knowledge of the techniques involved in preparing and presenting informaton effectively

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Expertise with basic computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)

* Experience with utilizing e-learning and computer based training tools as a training method

* Bachelor degree in health education or a related field or a combination of training and work experience in a related field
