Job Description:

SCDOR has implemented a new, Microsoft .Net based system for taxpayer registration and for processing tax returns and payments. Now a developer is needed to create the processes for loading selected data from that new South Carolina Integrated Tax System (SCITS) into the Data Warehouse. 

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The following application tasks are expected to be executed by the Data Warehouse systems software programmer. All tasks will involve some degree of up front analysis prior to development or execution, as well as several phases of system testing.These tasks/skills do not include database administration support or technical infrastructure support tasks, as these are assumed to fall under a different support area within the SCDOR IRM organization. 

 

- Completing work already well underway for initial loading of all demographic data from SCITS into the Data Warehouse using the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tool.

- Completing the work that has been started for initial loading of all financial data from SCITS into the Data Warehouse using the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tool.

- Developing the components necessary for the ongoing process to a) read the log created by the SCITS DTAX Adapter (a part of the SCITS system, already developed) to identify demographic and financial events in SCITS which are of interest to the Data Warehouse, b) retrieve the data associated with these events from the SCITS database, and c) load this data into the Data Warehouse. This is the major work of this contract. 

- Setting up and running the DiscoverTax Associate and Grow (A&G) offline process for data cleansing and matching all data retrieved from the SCITS database. This includes configuring the A&G match keys. 

- Creating and executing views to be utilized by the DiscoverTax audit selection process.

- Providing knowledge transfer to Data Warehouse staff members who will be responsible for ongoing support of the SCITS to DTAX data loads.

MICROSOFT CERTIFICATION A PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED
