The candidate must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in working with large IBM DB2 v9.x relational databases. The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years direct experience with developing ASP.NET applications.
Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience with the CARES application software.
Contractor will use IBM DB2 and Microsoft Visual Studio C#.NET as the development platform for this project.
BACKGROUND:
The state's public current portal to the IR is a thick client Citrix based application written in Delphi.
SC DHEC is looking to re-write the current IR functionality. The re-write will entail converting all existing functions to ASP.NET for delivery as a pure web application.
The functional requirements, business rules, screen layouts and database design have been completed.
This scope of work consists of the following tasks:
Task 1: Coding, documenting and testing of the core IR data entry module to connect the presentation layer and business logic to the DB2 database. This includes comprehensive data audit trails and error/event logging.
Task 2: Coding, documenting and testing of provider registration module. This includes provider registration/update, provider profiles, provider communication and vaccine ordering functions.
WORK DETAILS:
The contractor will be responsible for coding, documenting and testing of the various components of the IR module. All code will be written in ASP.NET. All code will be properly documented using XML documentation standards. All data will be housed in DHEC’s DB2 enterprise database. The position will require extensive liaison with the Information Technology staff within the agency and the IR data analyst.
