Description:
The Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor to work as a Project Analyst providing support to DOR Project Managers by performing various project administration and coordination tasks and the analysis of critical project data relating to DOR''''s TIMS project.
1. Create or maintain project management information:
-Maintain project assets and artifacts including communication plans, risk and issues logs, status reports, WBS and scope documents, lessons learned documents, resource plans, etc.
-Document and disseminate project meeting outcomes and follow up on action items.
-Create and maintain status and performance reports including monthly status report data in the State’s Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool.
2.Collect and analyze project data including work effort, schedule, financial, quality, and performance data. Determine variances, forecasts, and impacts.
3. Assist in project planning and control activities including: risk, issues, change control, task coordination, schedule reviews.
4. Assist in project process definition or improvement efforts, including developing procedures, process maps, and templates.
5. Assist the project or program manager in on-boarding project team members, setting up project meetings or events, drafting communication materials, and other project administration duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
REQUIRED:
-Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint 2007, and in MS Project 2003 or later versions.
-Knowledge of PMBOK project management standards.
-Prior experience with technical project implementations.
-Must have excellent analytical skills, and be exceptionally detail oriented and thorough.
-Excellent verbal and written skills.
-Deep capacity for demanding and stressful project work.
-Ability to collaboratively work with other team members and handle conflicts.
Minimum Training & Experience:
-4-Year college degree or equivalent training and experience.
Preferred:
-CAPM or PMP certification
-Prior experience with Sharepoint and/or JIRA.
