Title : IN3971-1 SAP Payroll/HR Consultant with FI/CO/MM, ECC 6.0, EHP 4, Public Sector

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

Working under the direction of the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) HR/Payroll Lead in the Division of the State CIO, candidates will provide functional and technical consulting services related to the design, development, testing and on-going maintenance of SAP software, which is currently being implementing across South Carolina State government.  The major components of SAP included are finance, budgeting, materials management, human resources and payroll modules.

 

The SAP Functional Consultant requested under this SOW must have an in- depth knowledge of the SAP Human Resources and Payroll functionality for public sector organizations.  The SAP functional consultant must be able to design and configure this HR/Payroll functionality, while ensuring integration with other modules such as Finance and Material Management, and must have experience with unit testing, business process procedure development, integration testing, etc.  The SAP functional consultant must have prior SAP implementation experience within Public Sector.

 

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

     A proven functional/technical professional with at least 2 full

lifecycle SAP R/3 implementations.

     At least 5+ years of experience implementing SAP Payroll module

     Implement SAP Project phases in accordance with ASAP methodology

     Participate in configuration, testing and go live activities for SAP

Payroll

     Conduct and lead Payroll comparison testing

     Support training of State end users on new SAP Payroll functionality

     Support the integration of Payroll with other SAP modules

     Develop Functional Specs to support RICE development

     Document future State HR/Payroll Design in Blueprint documentation

     Knowledge transfer to State HR/Payroll Project Team Members

     Escalate issues to Project Management in a timely manner

     A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems

requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

     Able to collaborate with clients, identify engagement follow-on

opportunities, and have a strong desire to excel.

     Strong Configuration and Design skills

     Assist with Year-End SAP Payroll preparation, Processing of Claims,

Tax Reconciliation and balancing, Year-End Testing and preparation for producing W-2’s and other regulatory forms.

     Must have previous Public Sector SAP experience in producing W-2’s,

941’s, and other state year-end and quarterly regulatory forms and media.

     Assist with testing and implementation of support packs in

preparation for movement to production.  Expertise with SAP ECC 6.0… EHP 4 preferred but not required.

     Will be participating in the planning for upgrade from 6.0 EHP4 HRSP

16 to HRSP  27

     Prior expertise with customer Go-live support and preparation

planning activities for the 1st pay period of a new calendar year.

     Participate in testing and management of development work related to

SAP Payroll, inbound and outbound interfaces.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

     Previous SAP Public Sector experience with State Government is

preferred

     Proven ability to deliver high-quality results

     Experience in the development of project documentation.

     Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills (with

all levels of the organization) and a very good command of the English language

     Ability to work with diverse groups and work within the team

environment

     Ability to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately,

clearly and concisely

     Ability to transfer knowledge

     Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office software including:

PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook and Excel

     Proven organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build and

maintain partnerships within different business units

     Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time

sensitive tasks, and adapt quickly to last minute changes.

     SAP PUBLIC SECTOR EXPERIENCE

     SAP PAYROLL MODULE

     KNOWLEDGE IN SAP MATERIALS MANAGEMENT/ FINANCE SKILL A PLUS
