Duration: 2 - 3 months
The Software Architect will oversee and direct the work of a team of developers in order to complete a new website based on already complete and documented design.
Responsibilities for this position include overseeing application development, enforcing specification compliance, providing code review and mentoring, and the delegation of tasks and roles throughout the programming team. The Senior Developer/Architect will work with the Project Manager to complete this project according to an agreed-upon timeline, and to document the project upon its completion.
The candidate’s role will most be supervisory, and will most likely involve on-site work at the client office one or two days per week, over what it expected to be a three month development process.
The Technical Architect should have at least 10 years of experience in web software development, with a specialization in web content management solutions and application architectures. Experience working with local government and/or very large non-profits is a strong plus. Familiarity with the .NET CMS Umbraco will also be considered a strong plus.
The candidate should be fully versed in the latest Web technologies and strategies, and must have proven experience as both a team leader, lead developer as well as a software architect. Excellent management and communication skills are also required. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have:
• 10 years of senior web software development experience
• 5+ years experience as a software architect
• 5+ years experience supervising multi-disciplinary software development teams
• 5+ years experience working with and deploying multiple Content Management Systems;
• 5+ years supervising full-stack development, including application servers, database servers, and client side (HTML, CSS, Javascript) technologies
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
