Mandatory Requirements
1. An Associate’s Degree (or higher)
*Must list degree received, name and location of college/university, and the date the degree was received.
2. Two years application development experience doing N-tiered client/server development
3. Two years experience performing development work using Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, or higher
4. Two Years experience performing development work in Windows NT/2000/XP (or latest version of Microsoft Operating System)
5. Two Years application development experience in Web Services
Desirable Experience Preferred for These Positions
Good communication and interpersonal skills: Points for this desirable can only be awarded upon completion of an interview. Candidates are expected to verify both mandatory and desirable experience as listed in their resume.
1. Four or more years experience JAVA programming.
2. Two or more years experience working with Oracle databases.
3. Three or more years experience in EJB development and transaction management programming in a complex, large-scale environment involving the integration of J2EE applications with other environments, including legacy mainframe environments.
4. Three or more years experience developing JSP/Servlets and in the use of STRUTS framework.
5. Three or more years experience with the use of Hibernate or any other Object Relation mapping frameworks in a J2EE environment.
6. Three or more years experience with use of XML, JAXB and web services in a J2EE environment
7. Three or more years experience with development and deployment on IBM Websphere application server platform.
8. Three or more years with demonstrated proficiency in the proper application of standard design patterns to solve complex business problems.
9. Two or more years experience using the IBM Rational toolset
Project Description:
Through its modernization efforts, Client continues to develop new web applications to aid local district workers in providing services to their customers. The myBenefits and myWorkspace projects are have been determined to provide a demonstrable service to the public and the local district staff by improving access to information about available services, the ability to apply for benefits via the internet, and provides users in local districts an electronic means to process paper or electronic applications.
This request is for two contract programmers to work through entire development cycle: analysis, database and application design, construction and implementation for enhancements and ongoing maintenance for the myBenefits internet based pre-screening and e-application, and the intranet based myWorkspace worker tool.
The applications use a J2EE technology stack running on a WebSphere application server, a JBoss Rules Engines, an Oracle database, and communicate with the Unisys mainframe via MQ Series and IBM Message Broker. The programmers will also work with IT staff in OFT and OTDA as needed for integrations, deployments, environmental changes, etc, and non-technical business staff to refine requirements and test product.
