IN038 Quality Assurance Specialist (Specialist II):

Candidates for each position must have all of the types and durations listed as follows of mandatory technical experience required for the position to be eligible for consideration. Non-mandatory technical requirements are desirable and will be scored based on level of experience. Technical experience may be concurrent.

 

MANDATORY Requirements:

NOTE: Candidates who do not meet all of the following mandatory requirements will not be considered for further evaluation and the entire proposal will be deemed non-responsive.

a.       A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the performing quality assurance tasks.

b.      A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the development and execution of Software Test Plans and Scenarios.

c.       A minimum of two (2) years of experience with Performance and Stress testing using performance testing software.

d.      Ability to clearly and correctly communicate in both written and spoken English. 

 

 

DESIRABLE Experience:

(Scores will be assigned based on the length of the experience).

a.       Experience in using IBM Rational Performance Tester (Version 6.0 or higher).

b.      Experience in using IBM Rational Functional Tester (Version 6.0 or higher).

c.       Experience in using IBM Rational Manual Tester (Version 6.0 or higher).

d.      Experience in using IBM Rational Test Manager (Version 6.0 or higher).

e.       Experience in using IBM Rational ClearCase (Version 6.0 or higher).

f.       Experience in using IBM Rational ClearQuest (Version 6.0 or higher).

 

Duties:  quality assurance activities including the development and execution of software test plans, scripts, and scenarios; regression testing; evaluate test results and software performance; identify technical and functional defects; and assist the Agency in performing use acceptance test.

 

Examples of Quality Assurance activities and responsibilities that will be required of the Contractor in this project include, but not limited to:

·         Develop test plans, scenarios, and test cases that will exercise the business, functional, and technical requirements of the system;

·         Develop test data for use in executing the QA phase of the systems development life cycle (SDLC);

·         Develop and execute test plans and scenarios including regression and volume tests;

·         Evaluate test results and performance of software;

·         Identify technical and functional software defects;

·         Work with the project team to complete the QA process to bring the software quality to a level where it can be delivered to Agency for user acceptance tests;

·         Assist Agency in performing user acceptance tests.
